Bill Murray’s 1988 film, Scrooged, is a classic that always gets top billing among our holiday queues year in and year out. This season, the venerable comedy legend is adding one more to his holiday repertoire: A Very Murray Christmas, an original holiday musical comedy slated to debut exclusively on Netflix December 4. The film teams Murray with his Lost in Translation director, Sofia Coppola, who co-wrote the new film with Mitch Glazer, and the full trailer arrived today. It is wall-to-wall Miley Cyrus croons and George Clooney charisma, in what looks to be an all-out festive pageantry of mirth and celebrity cameos, including Michael Cera and Amy Poehler.

Netflix original content is a burgeoning haven for top industry talent of late. The network’s slate of in-house productions is expanding, with several upcoming original shows arriving on the network in the coming months. Check out the trailer for A Very Murray Christmas above. It’s better than visions of sugarplums.
