Adele's New Beverly Hills Mansion Is an Elegant Throwback
Adele is saying hello to Beverly Hills. The British songstress just plunked down $9.5 million on a four-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion in a gated community called Hidden Valley.
To justify living neighborhood that comes equipped with a guardhouse, as Hidden Valley does, you need to achieve an astronomical level of fame. And after her latest album, 25, sold over eight million copies in the U.S. alone, it’s safe to say that Adele is officially guardhouse-worthy.
The home itself, which was built in 1977, eschews the modernist frenzy that is gripping L.A. real estate for something far more elegant. Sitting on 17,000 square feet of land, it features an open kitchen, a two-story foyer and balcony, two open concept living rooms that come equipped with fireplaces, and a massive rec room with vaulted ceilings.
The beautifully landscaped backyard features a stone terrace, a pool, and a gazebo. Adele clearly had her son, Angelo, in mind when she purchased the home, as it includes its own treehouse and an outdoor train set. But Angelo won’t be the only one having fun at Adele’s new digs. The singer now counts Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Cameron Diaz, and new BFF Jennifer Lawrence as neighbors, which means it’s shaping up to be a rollicking summer at Casa Adele.
