AERIN: Home at Last
A lifestyle polyglot to be reckoned with, Aerin Lauder's aptitude for channeling easygoing elegance has already manifested itself in her lines of cosmetics, sunglasses, shoes, jewelry, and luxe candles. Now Lauder's eponymous firm is expanding to include a range of textiles, furniture, and lighting--and as the designer details in today's featured video to fete her latest launch, it doesn't hurt that she has good taste running through her veins. "Estée was the first person that taught me that gold is a neutral," she reveals of her grandmother, legendary cosmetics matriarch Estée Lauder. Said design wisdom is on display throughout the collection--from the gilded orb-shaped Mill Ceiling Light to the gold-leafed Washington Bookcase--but it's not only about metallics. Lauder also embraces a penchant for naturalistic themes in her textile line with Lee Jofa, flirts with traditional European and modern decorative traditions in her range of lighting with Visual Comfort, and offers interpretations of personal heirlooms, including her own writing desk, through pieces created with furniture manufacturer E. J. Victor. Shop our favorites from the line's offerings below, including the brass-trimmed Warwick Mirror and the luxe black marble Cliff Table Lamp.
