This Crazy Airbnb Lets You Sleep in a Shark Tank
If you’ve always dreamed of living under the sea, now’s your chance to do just that. Airbnb is hosting a contest in which the prize is a one-night stay in an underwater bedroom at The Shark Aquarium in Paris. Three lucky winners will be flown to France to spend the night in the glass bedroom in the middle of the shark tank. The host is Fred Buyle, a shark enthusiast and world record-breaking free diver who will jump in the tank and introduce you to the 35 creatures that call the aquarium home. Winners will receive a guided tour of the museum and get a behind-the-scenes look at the secret lives of sharks. House rules include "no selfies after dark—sharks are sensitive to light" and to "avoid seeing Jaws before your sleepover." After the contest is over, the cylindrical glass room will serve as an observatory for biologists to study shark behavior from. The stunt is a part of Airbnb’s Night At campaign in which they transform an iconic space, like Ellis Island or Fenway Park, into a home for just one night. Interested in entering? You have until 11:59 p.m. on April 3 to sign up for a chance to sleep with sharks.
