It could be their growing family or their growing art collection. Either way, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are saying goodbye to their 25,000-square-foot mansion in New Jersey.
The “Girl on Fire” and her hip-hop husband are asking $14.9 million for the 5.42-acre compound, which encompasses eight bedrooms and a whopping 14 bathrooms.
They bought the home from Eddie Murphy in 2013 and have renovated, including adding an entire wing for artwork—although TMZ.com, which first reported the listing, says the couple wants still more space for their expanding collection.
Indeed, there’s art throughout the home, including a delicately placed motorcycle in the marble foyer and a large painting of Keys in the dining room.
For entertainment, the mansion offers a movie theater, indoor swimming pool, two-lane bowling alley, and professional recording studio.
Two elevators help Keys, Beatz, and their children—including baby Genesis, born in December—negotiate the expansive space. The compound also boasts a carriage house with a gym and a five-car garage.
The listing agents are Dennis and Dolores McCormack of Prominent Properties/Sotheby’s International Realty.
