Inside Meghan Markle's Regal, Light-Filled Home
Following the royal announcement of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's engagement, it's been confirmed that the couple will live in Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace. Known by locals as "Nott Cott," the property is small by royal standards, The Telegraph reports.
The cottage was previously home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who used it as their base in London for almost three years. It has two bedrooms, a modest living room, a dining room, and two bathrooms—tiny compared to William and Kate's home next door, which has 22 rooms.
According to Elle Decor, the cottage has been Markle's unofficial home for the past few months. The actress previously split her time between London and Toronto, where she filmed Suits. While there are few photographs of the interior, there's no doubt Markle will add her own décor touches to the couples' first shared home. She's also likely to bring her two rescue dogs, Bogart and Guy, who feature prominently on her Instagram feed.
