Old Meets New in This Chic French Apartment

Julia Millay Walsh

In a matter of just three months, cardiologist Aude Mignot gave her two-bedroom 19th-century apartment in the center of Bordeaux, France, a complete makeover—without any construction. Preserving the historic home's beautiful heritage moldings, chevron floors, and spectacular bow window, she created a gorgeous sense of juxtaposition by introducing sprightly, vibrant contemporary and vintage furniture, such as Muuto's Rest Sofa and Acapulco Chairs. The result, featured in InsideOut, is a space that feels at once fresh and nostalgic. Scroll below for a tour.
