An NYC Beauty Editor Proves Tiny Studios Can Be Stylish Too
Small spaces are certainly challenging, but that's why they're one of our favorites to decorate. These size-challenged rooms provide a rare opportunity to push past interior norms and think creatively about how you can transform a tiny one-bedroom into a stylish studio. This cute New York City home is proof of that. Refinery29 beauty editor Maria Del Russo showed Domino how it's done with a curated apartment filled with sentimental curiosities, vintage art, found furniture, and clever small-space storage.
Russo isn't the only one in love with her home. After she nicknamed it "itty studio" on Instagram, she then created a hashtag so her legion of fans could follow the room's progress. "One friend told me she loved my apartment photos and how I'd nicknamed it, so I decided to start the hashtag #mdrsittystudio so people could find snaps if they wanted," she told Domino. "My apartment changes a lot, so it's fun looking back on the hashtag to see the evolution." See the final result below!
