Best of the Best: Our Favorite Rooms of the Year
We've been lucky to visit some truly stunning homes this year, but let's be honest: We love to play favorites. While every home we shot this year was truly a cut above, there are a few rooms that we simply can't get out of our minds. Scroll below to tour them all.
Chef and author Claire Thomas, who's also our food contributor, opened her Silverlake, Los Angeles, home up to us, and unsurprisingly, her kitchen was a thing of dreams. We loved her soft seafoam-tiled backsplash and were astounded by her collection of serving pieces.
With glass shelves, gold faucets, mirrored walls, and a Venetian mirror, singer-songwriter Nicole Simone's Hollywood bathroom is a serenade waiting to be written.
We loved Consort Design's genius use of marble in this black and white bathroom. To create a luxe look of a thick-edge countertop on a budget, they sourced a more affordable 3/4-inch slab, mitered the corners, and bookmatched the edges to give the illusion of three-inch marble.
And last, but certainly not least... our hearts skipped a beat and we gasped when we stepped into New York designer Betsy Morgan's Chelsea master bedroom. It is as dreamy as they come, like floating on a cloud.
