The 3 Best Jobs for Work/Life Balance in 2016

Striking a healthy work/life balance in 2016 is like striking gold. With our increasingly tech-centric economy, the line between work and play is blurring into non-existence, leading to a culture of creative burnout and mental and physical exhaustion. That being said, people value time spent away from work email now more than ever, even going as far as removing their work email from their smartphones and going phone-less altogether.

Thanks to Glassdoor, we now have a better idea of which jobs can make that coveted work/life balance a reality. The job and review board recently published its list of jobs with the best work/life balance in 2016, evaluating a total of 29 jobs based on employee feedback shared on the site. Here are the top three jobs, based on a five-point scale in which 1 is very dissatisfied, 3 is okay, and 5 is very satisfied:

1. Corporate Recruiter

Work/life balance rating: 4.1 out of 5

Median salary: $65,000

2. UX Designer

Work/life balance rating: 4.1 out of 5

Median salary: $95,000

3. Data Scientist

Work/life balance rating: 4 out of 5
