We're transfixed by this inspiring Parisian pad, and can you blame us? With the ideal combination of modern elements and classic detailing, this apartment features intricate moldings and mantelpieces as well as a bold use of color and an intriguing mix of textures and shapes.
Leave it to a jewelry designer to have the edgiest house in town. Amanda Thomas, the mastermind behind accessories brand Luv Aj, spent four months of renovating and months of décor shopping to create an open, airy, and hip home for herself and her husband. She calls their love shack a “love den,” thanks to its shag carpet accents, fireplace, bookshelves stacked with firewood, and romantic Moroccan accents.
Wanting a cohesive and grown-up aesthetic for her space, Erin Foster called in interior designers Estee Stanley, Mat Sanders, and Brandon Quattrone. In a matter of two months, the designers made a number of cosmetic updates to her home that would increase its value over time, furnished the space with function in mind, and helped Foster find her own unique style. We love the vibrant color palette and lush textures.
The light-filled abode was designed by California modernist architect Scott Johnson of Johnson Fain and it is surrounded by cabernet sauvignon vineyards on a wooded hillside—it’s literally heaven on Earth. Los Angeles interior designer Waldo Fernandez took care of the impressive redesign with a neutral color scheme that took inspiration from the landscape, rocks, and trees.
Jayne Min—fashion stylist and the voice behind the popular fashion blog Stop It Right Now—projects a clean and minimal personal style with the perfect dose of humor and wit just to keep things interesting. It should come as no surprise then that the interiors of her home are similarly polished with the same “weird, fun twist” that she brings to her perfectly crafted ensembles.
It should come as no surprise that Michael Kors’s impeccable style extends to his homes. The iconic designer’s Long Island beach house is no exception and we’re downright breathless over the space. Airy beyond belief, filled with treasures collected on travels, and looking out over the Atlantic, it’s a vision of vacation perfection.
This bohemian wonder is one of the homes available on Onefinestay, a company people are calling “Airbnb for luxury homes." Based in London, Paris, New York, and Los Angeles, the company curates some of the most beautiful, thoughtfully designed homes in each market and makes them available to travelers, along with the hospitality services you’d receive at a hotel.
The Los Angeles home that actress Sasha Alexander (Shameless, Rizzoli & Isles) and her husband, director Edoardo Ponti, purchased was a far cry from the airy and bright space you see today. But after a full renovation, interior designer Estee Stanley mixed the couple’s existing collection of French and Italian antiques (including a set of ancient French Louis XV dining chairs) with thoughtful fabric selections, custom-made pieces, and new modern designs, tying the home’s Spanish-style architecture in with a more fresh, contemporary California lifestyle.
