Meet Bezar, Your Favorite New Design Destination

Dana Covit

"We're bizarre and totally cool with you calling us that," reads the headline for Bezar, a brand-new destination for discovering and shopping unique, modern design across home, art, and fashion markets. The premise is simple: Each day, Bezar launches online pop-up shops in four different categories (art, house, jewelry, and accessories), which will typically last three days. The retailer's featured (and lightly discounted) products are the kind you might otherwise have to be an industry insider to discover (think: special-edition releases, handmade items, and so on), and are all curated by Bezar's stellar team of global buyers, led by founder and chief curator Bradford Shellhammer.

Shellhammer, who previously masterminded online modern design shop Fab, is committed to championing products with story, heart, and a healthy dash of whimsy. Crowned "King of Quirk" by Forbes, Shellhammer's new project is as colorful, jam-packed with personality, and sensory-exciting as you'd expect. You can join Bezar today, and check out some of our favorites from a stellar batch of featured launch designers (Tom Dixon and Josef and Anni Albers, to name a few) by scrolling below.
