Chips Ahoy's New Flavors Are the Perfect Summer Treat
Chips Ahoy is getting into the summer spirit with two new flavors meant to convey two of our favorite things about the warmest season of the year: campfires and backyard cookouts. As of Monday June 20, Nabisco is offering s’mores- and red velvet–flavored cookies for a limited time only under its iconic chocolate chip cookie brand.
The s’mores cookies have a velvety, fudgy center and a decadent combo of marshmallow and chocolate chips. And while you may not have a bonfire handy to really tap into the essence of what makes s’mores so irresistible, Nabisco recommends warming the cookies up in a microwave for the next best thing.
The other new flavor is the increasingly ubiquitous red velvet. What first became a staple in the South has emerged as one of the trendiest dessert flavors in recent memory, thanks to its addictive pairing of chocolate cake batter and cream cheese icing. Here, the cream cheese comes in the form of a gooey filling and cream cheese–flavored chips.
“Each flavor will be a delicious bite that brings out the best of summer and makes those seasonal moments even better whether it’s a campfire with your squad or an al fresco date with your significant other,” a spokesperson told Us Weekly via press release.
The new flavors, which will retail for just under $5 each, are available nationwide now.
