Chrissy Teigen Started a Twitter War Over Her Cookbook
This week in weird things happening on the internet, Twitter fanatic Chrissy Teigen was crushing it on the social media site, per usual—only this time around, things got a little heated between her and the household appliances that crush your ice. After a casual tweet about her cookbook, Teigen single-handedly incited the Great Blender War of 2016, and, like everything the supermodel does, it was hilarious.
It all started when Twitter user @ joked about her Amazon fail that resulted in her purchasing Teigen's cookbook, Cravings, instead of a blender:
Never one to miss out on a good joke, the new mother to 2-month-old baby Luna responded in typical Chrissy Teigen fashion:
Never one to shy away from calling out weird behavior on the internet, Teigen fired off this gem of a tweet at Vitamix after the blender company's creepily fast response to Teigen's tweet:
Naturally, Vitamix competitor Nutribullet chimed in, throwing shade at the blender brand and turning up the speed in the process. Shots. Fired.
Teigen then took it upon herself to provoke a third competitor, Blendtec. The company appropriately rose to the challenge, bashing both Vitamix and NutriBullet in one pointed tweet:
Things then took a turn for the sentimental, with Blendtec and NutriBullet both touting their baby-friendly products, presumably in an attempt to charm the brand-new mother. Vitamix remained eerily silent.
The blender war reportedly came to a screeching halt when Teigen had to attend to a hungry baby Luna. While no clear winner was announced, Amina, whose one tweet earned her a Chrissy Teigen–sponsored blender in addition to her cookbook, remains victorious.
Shop Chrissy Teigen's cookbook, Cravings; you, too, could end up with a free blender.
