A New Study Proves Dads Who Change Diapers Get Lucky
An equal household is a happier household; at least that’s what a recent study proves. Georgia State University scientists studied the marital relationship data of 487 heterosexual couples. They divided participating couples into three categories: one group where women did most or all of the child care, one group where men did most or all of the child care, and one group where the man and woman had equal child-care responsibilities.
Women reported the lowest-quality relationships and sex lives in the first group, men reported the lowest-quality relationships and sex lives in the second group, and both men and women reported high-quality relationships and sex lives in the third group.
Moral of the study? Share your child-care responsibilities with your partner—whether that’s diaper changing, school-lunch making, or dishwasher emptying—if you want to build a happy family and keep your romance alive... and thriving!
