Inside the Cool Industrial Home of a Furniture Designer

Sacha Strebe

Homeowner Kim Dolva of furniture and interiors company Snickeriet certainly has an eye for detail and a love for natural materials. In her Copenhagen, Denmark, home, a stunning kitchen is the real showpiece. Solid smoked-oak cabinets, marble bench top, hand-carved brass knobs, and those gorgeous brass pendant lights make this a place you want to cook or just hang out in.

Perhaps the best part about this kitchen is what’s hidden: recessed compartments for all the cutlery, tools, and serveware. This concealed style has been adopted throughout the whole space, including the gorgeous walk-in closet, which further showcases Dolva’s love for natural materials such as wood, glass, and leather.
