Every Fashion Girl Is Going to Want Diptyque's New Product (It's Not a Candle)
French brand Diptyque is best known for its coveted luxury candles, seemingly always featured in celebrity and cool-girl home tours, but the brand just announced that its latest product isn't for your home at all. According to Elle Decor, Diptyque wants to elevate your next road trip with a high-end car air freshener.
The luxury car accessory will be available in six signature scents: amber, berry, fig, rose, orange blossom, ginger, and 34 (named for Diptyque's address in Paris: 34 Saint-Germain Boulevard). Poised to launch in September, they will retail for $60 each and disperse constant scent for three months after opening—not bad when you consider that their traditional candles last up to three days if left burning.
The new release might seem bizarre, but it's not the first time Diptyque has ventured beyond candles. Earlier this year, the brand endeavored to reimagine home scents with the release of an hourglass-shaped diffuser, which releases scent over several months and can be refilled.
