Having just purchased a 1926 Spanish-style home in Los Angeles’ Beachwood Canyon neighborhood, a young couple—with twins on the way—who’d just relocated from New York hired DISC Interiors to bring their new home into the modern day. “They were really drawn towards the Spanish architecture and the details of the 1920s,” designers David John Dick and Krista Shrock tell us, “but they desired an interior that felt comfortable with modern details and furnishings.” Sharing a similar vision for this merging of old and new, the designers sought to balance Spanish style with their take on contemporary California living.
