The Coolest It-Girl Bedrooms We Want to Steal
When we've had enough of counting sheep and knocking on the sandman's door, there's only one thing left to do to encourage that sweet slumber to come back home: redecorate your bedroom. Our first point of inspiration is the glamorous boudoirs of our favorite Hollywood It girls. Why? These leading ladies are exposed to the latest in fashion and design first, so naturally they love to incorporate these interesting elements into the homes (with a little help from top designer friends, of course).
From tufted beds to luxurious bedding, dramatic artwork, and varied textures, the following A-list bedrooms reign supreme in the style stakes. Take note as you scroll through these perfectly styled boudoirs to re-create your own relaxing room at home. Because you deserve a fabulous sanctuary to retreat after a long day just as much as they do.
Michaela Conlin has all the star qualities, and we're not just talking about her stellar career. The Bones star has major interior design taste, and her 1930s L.A. home is proof. Conlin worked with her friend and designer Drew Lage to craft a stylish yet approachable home that honors the heritage while incorporating her modern taste. This bedroom is the stuff dreams are made of.
When it comes to princess-worthy abodes, actress Sasha Alexander (Shameless, Rizzoli & Isles) nailed the brief. But this stunning visual you see now wasn't nearly as bright and airy when Alexander and her husband, director Edoardo Ponti, first purchased it. They opened up the space with moody lighting, neutral walls, and soft ivory fabrics. The high ceiling with exposed beams gives this bedroom the regal touch.
Inside Whitney Port's Venice Beach loft is an exciting mix of prints and bedding. In fact, it's one of the most lasting images from her fabulous pad we shot exclusively for MyDomaine. A cohesive color story and prints of various size and scale make Port's bedding completely unique. Newly engaged at the time of our shoot, Port's look was the perfect combination of masculine and feminine elements.
This bedroom is every parts glamorous as it is adventurous. Combining all these elements shouldn't work (in theory), but it's definitely an amazing combination. That glittering light fixture and macramé hanging plants feel perfectly girly, while the dark blue accent wall and fur throw add a touch of rock-'n'-roll edge.
From the looks of her petite yet stylish bedroom, Nina Dobrev has as much skill in decorating as she does in acting. An unexpected but expertly edited mix of prints complemented by the more fantastical elements of her bedroom's design make this one of our favorites ever.
Brooklyn Decker has managed to fuse the whimsical elements we all crave in a bedroom with a modern sensibility. This gender-neutral boudoir in the actress's traditional Texas-style farmhouse is the best of both worlds. The vintage industrial aesthetic fused with the traditional country feel is a match made in heaven.
Jacey Duprie of Damsel in Dior sure knows how to create an eye-catching mix of textures and shapes. Such is the case in her L.A. bedroom, where a completely neutral color palette is made interesting with a mix of textiles and furniture lines. A linen-upholstered bed is complemented with a furry throw to create a serene retreat in the middle of the city.
When MyDomaine went inside the home of host and style star Louise Roe, we were pleasantly surprised by the traditional décor of her master bedroom. A tufted Chesterfield-style bed and full draperies mix with dark-stained wood pieces and delicate china accessories to create a classic English look. "I'm more passionate and particular about interior design than about fashion!" the Brit told us at the time. A delightful mix of patterns on her bed confirm this It girl knows how to create an refined look.
