A recent study from The Journal of the American College of Nutrition proved spinach reduces food cravings and makes people feel fuller. Spinach contains certain membranes that cut back on your desire for sweet dishes. If you have a spinach salad for dinner, you won’t automatically reach for that pint of ice cream afterward.

The saying “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away” is actually true! Apples, packed with water and fiber, will keep you feeling full. They are a refreshing and easy snack, so keep a few on hand at all times. The final filling ingredient? Avocado. A study shows that women who ate half an avocado at lunchtime felt more satisfied and were less inclined to snack three hours later than women who did not have avocado for lunch.
