Trend Report: Haberdashery for the Home

Peter Dolkas

One could argue that a haberdasher, one who owns a shop that sells menswear, knows good style better than anyone else. A bespoke suit, complete with all the trimmings (cufflinks, shirt studs, pocket squares, etc.) is a thing of beauty. Unsuprisingly, haberdashery-inspired home décor is trending some of our favorite retailers, from Serena & Lily’s polka-dot cocktail napkins (the spitting image of the perfect pocket square), to Ralph Lauren’s sheet set (made of shirting fabric good enough to go with your best suit).

Look for leathers stitched up into unique shapes (as done for a men’s brogue lace up), wools hearty enough for a winter coat, and patterns you think any gentleman would sport. Just think: If my Grandpa would like it, then it’s right on trend. Shop a few of our favorites below.
