The Hamptons’ Best Vintage Furniture Shops
The Hamptons are home to some of the most expensive and elaborate homes in the world, but keep in mind real people like you and me live there too! And real people like to shop for their real-people homes the same way we do, by mixing a little bit of high with a little bit of low. I recently scoured New York’s coast, from East Hampton to Greenport, following my nose for the best in vintage and antique shopping. If you find yourself in the Hamptons, add these six must-see hot shops to your agenda.
Sag Harbor’s Ruby Beets is the chicest combination of old and new. The store features a variety of antiques mixed in with contemporary art and photography. Think ethereal, washed-out woods mixed with French modernist lighting and crystal accessories. It’s the kind of shop you walk into and want to live in forever.
Marika’s is where all designers shop for affordable vintage that they will mark up and overcharge you for later. This is one of those fun shopping destinations where you might have to do a little digging, but you’re sure to uncover something awesome.
Laurin Copen Antiques is set in an 18th-century farmhouse with rooms merchandised to perfection. With everything from dutch to the “unusual,” this gorgeously decorated boutique is swoon-worthy, to say the least.
Beall & Bell is the Hamptons’ best-kept secret! The inventory is large and the price points affordable. You could literally outfit an entire home on a budget just from one visit to this must-shop vintage store.
