Step away from the almond milk, people. A recent article in Business Insider reveals that each half-gallon of the milk du jour contains very few actual almonds, with evidence showing there may be just over a handful in each. What this means is that almond milk is really rather devoid of the most beneficial part of almonds: the protein! Based on the report, in order to get the same nutritional value in your milk as you would in a handful of almonds, you'd have to drink the entire carton. Not quite reasonable, right?
