Inside the Buru Founder's Bright and Colorful Family Home

Sacha Strebe

If you're feeling the pressure lately and your work/life pendulum has swung completely out of balance, then follow Morgan Hutchinson's lead. The founder of e-shop Buru transformed her Salt Lake City abode into a pattern-packed, color-soaked wonderland, and it's an instant pick-me-up. If you love jewel-toned brights, velvet textures, and vibrant artwork, then this you'll love this home. Besides, who wouldn't want to come home to this creative space?

While each room has its own character, our favorite design element has to be the patterned ceiling in the living room. "Actually, it's wallpaper," Hutchinson told Lonny. "Kelly Wearstler’s Channels in black and white, and I fell in love with it instantly. I love that it gave the room some texture without taking away from the other color used throughout the space." Take the tour and see the effect color can have on your mood. We challenge you not to smile.
