There’s something therapeutic about plants, and they add instant life and color to any home—these gorgeous spaces prove it. It’s this organic nature of indoor plants that attracted Japanese artist Satoshi Kawamoto, and he has made it his life’s passion to improve interiors with greenery. Kawamoto has been the creative plant director behind lush installations for brands such as Filson, Gant Rugger, and Mr Porter. His shop Green Fingers in New York’s Lower East Side is truly bursting with flora and plants of all varieties, styled in the signature Kawamoto way. “I don’t like to be called simply a florist or a gardener,” says Kawamoto, speaking through an interpreter to T Magazine. “I want to suggest a lifestyle to people, surprise people with the spaces I create. Not only in the store, but in other places as well.” Watch the video to see him in action.
