How to Binge-Watch "Game of Thrones" for Free Before Sunday
Season 6 is coming. This Sunday, in fact. For Game of Thrones fans, this season marks an exciting moment in the series: the first time the show will be operating outside of the realm of author George R.R. Martin's novels as its primary source of material. Whether you're a sworn obsessive or not, the latest news from HBO is worth getting excited about, too…
According to Business Insider, HBO will be making its entire catalog available for free to nonsubscribers from today through Monday. As for the exact period of free streaming, Business Insider notes that "HBO won't elaborate on the exact timing of the free period … but it's at worst a 48-hour window and at best 96 hours. And even at 48 hours, it's technically possible to watch the entirety of Game of Thrones—with a few minutes to spare."
Yep, in just one single weekend, the Westeros uninitiated and devoted rewatchers alike can binge-watch all five seasons in time for Sunday's Season 6 premiere. (Editor's note: We wouldn't necessarily recommend it. You know, for your nerves'—and poor heart's—sake.)
Still, happy watching! And while we're at it, might we recommend a side-screening of Silicon Valley? It's a hoot (and the perfect blood pressure reducer after all of the dragons, death, blood, and betrayal of GoT). Better get the popcorn popping.
