First Look: Lauren Conrad’s New Ceramics Collection
In addition to her thriving fashion label, Paper Crown, Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lauren Conrad is also the co-founder of a growing global shop, The Little Market, which sells beautiful lifestyle accents, home décor, and fashion accessories made by artisans in developing nations. Today, Conrad and her partner and friend Hannah Skvarla give us an exclusive first look at their new ceramics collection.
Beautifully crafted ceramic pieces can be the perfect addition to any home, whether used on a daily basis or for entertaining. At The Little Market, we carry three gorgeous patterns: Floral, Lemon, and Seaside. The Floral pattern has a delicate blue and white design, perfect for the classic kitchen. We love the gorgeous yellow citrus pop of Lemon, and the Seaside pattern has stunning shades of light and dark blue with hints of pink and peach.
We also have a variety of pieces in each design. For example, you can find a complete dining set, including different-size plates and bowls. Or you can select the perfect serveware to use for entertaining, such as an oval platter, serving bowl, or pitcher. This fall, we look forward to cozying up on the couch and sipping a hot beverage from our latte mugs paired with matching saucers, and we’re smitten with the cutest little teapot you’ll ever see! Any of these ceramic pieces would make great gifts for a birthday, holiday, or new homeowner.
Le Souk Ceramique Floral Sauce Bowl ($12)
Not only are the ceramic pieces beautiful, they are also meaningful for the local community where they are produced. All of the ceramic pieces we currently carry come from the studio of LeSouk Ceramique, located in Tunisia. LeSouk sets wages above minimum wage, provides healthcare and social security payments for artisans, and is in the process of receiving Tunisia’s fair trade certification. Each timeless design is created in the studio where every detail is painted by hand and every color batch is mixed by hand, resulting in one-of-a-kind works.
Le Souk Ceramique Sweet Lemon Platter ($42)
LeSouk Ceramique opened nearly two decades ago in Nabeul, Tunisia. Tunisia is located at the northernmost part of Africa, with the capital, Tunis, strategically located on the Mediterranean Sea. Current political instability in Tunisia is exacerbating already significant levels of poverty and unemployment. The economy relies on agriculture and tourism, which is directly affected by perceptions of the safety of visitors.

Our mission at The Little Market is to build sustainable partnerships with artisans around the world, by connecting them with customers through an online marketplace. When you use each ceramic piece in your home, you are reminded that your purchase is making a difference in the home of the artisan who made it.
