Travel in Style With Lauren Conrad's Handmade Luggage Line
In addition to her thriving fashion label, Paper Crown, Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lauren Conrad is also the co-founder of a growing global shop, The Little Market, which sells beautiful lifestyle accents, home décor, and fashion accessories made by artisans in developing nations. Today, Conrad and her partner and friend Hannah Skvarla give us an exclusive first look at their handmage luggage and tray collection.
Nappa Dori was one of the first artisan groups we started working with when we launched a year ago. Nappa Dori is an intimate fashion house in Delhi, India, where the emphasis on quality is matched by the commitment to social justice. When we visited them in India in 2013, we fell in love with the brand’s exquisite, handmade products. Today, The Little Market carries several of their products, including trunks and trays. Currently, we are the only U.S.-based carrier of Nappa Dori’s products.
The trunks we have available at The Little Market come in small and large sizes, and in a variety of colors. And they are beautiful! Their genuine leather straps and design details, like chrome finished locks, add to the luxurious feel. We love stacking the trunks and using them for storage throughout the year. They can also be used as a side table in the bedroom or living room. Their versatility makes them great to take on a weekend trip. The vanity trunk is an especially signature piece; the inside includes a mirror and is divided into three compartments for cosmetics. The classic, sophisticated style makes us think of Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy.
Nappa Dori’s small and large trays are a functional and stylish addition to home décor. They will dress up any tabletop and are the perfect accent to the kitchen or bathroom. But they can also be used for entertaining and will undoubtedly leave a big impression on guests. Made of powder-coated sheet metal and lined with water resistant flooring material, the trays have a simple yet elegant sophistication. They are currently available at The Little Market in white and blush.

We love Nappa Dori’s beautiful products, but equally impressive is its work giving back to the community. Nearly a quarter of India’s population of 1.25 billion falls below the international poverty line. Not only does Nappa Dori provide its artisans with interest-free loans, but they also donate a portion of their profits to Harmony House. This community center offers education, food, medication, hygiene facilities, and social services to women and children living in the Delhi slums. We admire Nappa Dori’s commitment to supporting the ambitions of its artisans and improving the lives of women and children in the community.
