Inside a Dreamy 18th-Century Home in Portugal

It's all white and it's all right, as far as we're concerned. This 18-century residence in Lisbon, Portugal, is a minimalist's dream. The original stone flooring runs throughout the entire house, and those arched ceilings transport this stunning period home into a chic modern context. The neglected estate was lovingly rebuilt by architect Manuel Aires Mateus, who opened up the secular spaces and created visual interest using natural light where possible via skylights, large doors, and windows. Scroll down to take the tour through photos by Ricardo Oliveira Alves for Arch Daily.
