One of the most memorable meals of my life was on a beach in Spain. My best friend and I had spent the morning snoozing on the sand and swimming in the ocean. When it was time for a late lunch, we headed to our favorite chiringuito (a beach bar) and ordered plates of the freshest seafood around. Flaky grilled sardines, marinated tuna belly, tiny tasty clams, and a bottle of Spanish rosé in an ice bucket resting in the sand. It was pure heaven! There’s something about a beach, or at least an ocean view, that makes food so much more scrumptious.
