Learn the Art of Flower Arranging With Olivia Palermo
Olivia Palermo recently sat down with Vogue and her favorite New York florist Sandra de Ovando, to take a class in the art of flower arranging. Palermo, who is no stranger to the interior arts, is apparently also skilled at creating beautiful floral displays. “I collect inspiration online and take my time,” the style star told Vogue. “Get a great pair of garden scissors, and look at what [types of flowers are] in season at that moment.”

"You have to know what it will look like before you start," said Palermo's favorite florist, Sandra de Ovando.
"I like to work with three different colors and recommend going monochromatic," de Ovando said. "There should be something soothing about [the colors]."
De Ovando reccomends placing your largest blooms first, then filling in with the smaller ones. "The large ones mark the territory and act as boundaries," she told Palermo.
