Tour One Kings Lane's Brand-New Manhattan Office

Gabrielle Savoie

If you loved the immaculately designed offices of Anne Hathaway’s startup in The Intern, be prepared to be blown away. A 50,000-square-foot industrial space located in an old candy factory in SoHo’s Hudson Square is competing for best designed e-commerce headquarters, and it’s signed One Kings Lane.

When its previous New York office lease was up, the company started looking for a space that would accommodate and inspire its growing team. The company found it in an 1896 neoclassical candy factory a few blocks from Manhattan’s Hudson River. The space had previously been used by the FBI for evidence storage, before One Kings Lane returned it to a more joyful, and colorful environment, erring closer to its candy-making past.

We chatted with Kelly Stewart, the companys senior director of operationswho oversaw the project, and she gave us an exclusive look into the new space. You can rest assured that the office is infused with One Kings Lane’s bright candy-colored aesthetic and a larger-than-life dream kitchen—get ready for some serious deskside envy.
