Take 5: Prince William Makes History on the Cover of Attitude Magazine
Happy Wednesday! Welcome back to our Take 5 column, where we invite you to take a hump-day break with the week's most revitalizing lifestyle stories. Ready to take a breather?
Take 1: If you need something to smile about
Prince William just became the first-ever royal to grace the cover of a gay publication. The July 2016 issue of Attitude magazine, the award-winning, best-selling gay publication out of the UK, features a beaming Duke of Cambridge wearing a button-down and a smile. "No one should be bullied for their sexuality or any other reason," said the Duke in the Attitude interview. Download the historical issue here.
Take 2: If you still haven't gotten your dad a Father's Day gift
A Germany-based perfumery just rolled out a new line of Star Wars–themed fragrances, complete with lightsaber-inspired bottles, just in time for Sunday. Choose from Jedi and Empire for your day one dude, or pick up a bottle of Queen Amidala for the single mom in your life. Check out the launch details on the Lifestyle Perfumes website. May the force be with you.
Take 3: If you don't have time to go to the grocery store today
Introducing Marley Spoon, the latest brainchild from Martha Stewart Living. The Blue Apron–type service will deliver hand-selected, Martha-approved ingredients and recipe cards right to your door. For more information, head to the newly launched Marley Spoon website.
Take 4: If your favorite thing at Costco is the free samples
Look beyond the mini hotdogs with Popsugar's guide to scouring Costco's many shelves. The supermarket carries a surprisingly long list of healthy, inexpensive products, like organic edamame spaghetti, Suja organic juices, and gluten-free smoothie pops. See the full list for yourself, and make the most of your mid-week Costco runs.
Take 5: If your anxiety is giving you anxiety
Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth and hold tight for Apple's new Breathe app. Set to roll out on the Apple Watch, Breathe will walk users through—you guessed it—breathing exercises, designed to relieve stress and improve cardiovascular strength in a pinch, according to TIME. Because sometimes you need a reminder to breathe.
Your Afternoon Pick-Me-Up:
Take five with the new Starbucks Granita, now available in a caramel espresso flavor anytime after 3 p.m. Now there's an excuse to duck out of the office.
