Tour a $75 Million Presidential Estate in California
The one-time San Clemente, California home of President Richard Nixon has just hit the market for a whopping $75 million. The "Western White House" as it was known, is a 5.5 acre ocean-front estate featuring over 15,000 square feet of living space which includes the main house, guesthouse, and staff quarters. The home was most recently owned by the retired founder and CEO of pharmaceutical company Allergan. During his presidency, Nixon used the property as a family vacation retreat as well as a place to host meetings. The president retired to the home—which features the largest amount of available residential oceanfront property south of Los Angeles—following his 1974 resignation.
