Brace Yourself: A Never-Before-Seen Look at SJP's New York Home
Actress, style icon, and shoe designer--her line SJP just launched--Sarah Jessica Parker invites viewers into her townhouse for a candid and casual look at her amazing family home. The intimate video from Vogue features Parker in her natural element and answering 73 random questions on life, style, and her personal favorites. We love how chic and homey her space is, filled with layered art, an enviable bar cart, and unexpected paint colors, not to mention her amazing ping pong dining table and collection of illuminated globes (her favorite element in the family room). Using her incredible home as inspiration, below, we're sharing three style lessons that only Parker could provide. Watch the video above and prepare yourselves for jealousy. It's no surprise the actress ranks peacock blue, a saturated and beautiful jewel tone, as her favorite color. With walls of kelly green, Tiffany blue painted doors, and an ottoman in a hot pink zebra print, the outrageous and unusual color pairings are just as uniquely chic as this home's lady of the house.
What, you wouldn't think to pair a modern ping pong table with a delicate chinz sofa adjacent to what looks like the home's original, intricate fireplace surround? Come on now.
Parker calls out the best board game of all time as her favorite: Masterpiece! A vintage classic, it's kind of like a high-stakes cross between Clue and Monopoly, where players are encouraged to act out the fabulous lives of crazy personalities while trading precious pieces of classic art. If you can't have fun at home, where can you?
