Well, Schumacher's Latest Collaboration Is a Total Surprise
Take one of the most storied American textile houses, introduce its famously luxurious fabrics to a fashion designer with a penchant for a striking mod aesthetic, and you’ll be left with one seriously enchanting collaboration. With former Veranda editor-in-chief Dara Caponigro at the helm, the 125-year-old F. Schumacher & Co. is joining forces with designer Lisa Perry to create a 13-piece capsule collection of evening wear splashed with some of Schumacher’s most iconic designs. Notables include a silk gown in the Art Deco Les Gazelles au Bois print (which was released in 1927), a cap-sleeve gown in Zebra Palm, and a chenille minidress in Serengeti Tigre Blanc. From a Chicago-based family in the home-textile business, designer Lisa Perry now joins a roster of impressive Schumacher brand collaborations (Paul Poiret and Elsa Schiaparelli, for example).
