This Is What the Total Solar Eclipse Means for Your Life in One Sentence
Today marks the first total solar eclipse in the United States since 1979, and unsurprisingly, it has major implications for your horoscope. In a nutshell, "each eclipse signals the end of something and the beginning of something else, though you may need to look very closely for that shift to become evident," writes Refinery29, as illuminated by Athena Perrakis, PhD, founder, and CEO of Sage Goddess.
Perrakis recommends looking back to March of 2016, when the last total solar eclipse occurred, for some insight as to what life event may be coming to a close today. "Ask yourself what was happening back then. Do you see a connection or an echo of a theme? This [month's] solar eclipse is here to tell you, 'Okay, we're done with that now,'" she told the publication.
If nothing about spring 2016 stands out to you, you can even look back to August 7 of this year when we had a full moon and a partial lunar eclipse. "You can consider any personal changes that have happened during this shorter period of time as a result of the eclipse cycle, too," she adds. Bottom line: Today's eclipse marks the start of a new "spiritual cycle" and should be treated as such. Try to let go of anything you've found yourself hanging on to, whether it be a toxic friendship, an unhealthy job, or even just a negative or obsessive thought pattern.
