3 Popular Crock-Pot Recipes for Fall 2016, According to Pinterest

It's officially Crock-Pot season, and we couldn't be more thrilled about it. There's absolutely nothing better than arriving home to the mouthwatering scent of a simmering slow-cooked meal, and you simply can't beat the prep time. In an effort to bring the most popular slow cooker recipes to your home, we scoured Pinterest looking for the most-pinned Crock-Pot meals. Each of these three recipes has over 100,000 repins, and take anywhere from five to 15 minutes to prepare. From The Recipe Critic and Life in the Lofthouse, here are the slow-cooker recipes to try this fall: 

Slow Cooker Chicken and Mushroom Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Cream cheese, softened
  • Can of cream of chicken soup
  • Dry onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken in the bottom of a lightly greased slow cooker. Add the mushrooms. In a medium bowl, add cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, and dry onion soup mix. Mix until incorporated, and spread on top of chicken and mushrooms.
  2. Cook on low for 4–6 hours, or on high for 3–4. Serve over noodles, and top with fresh parsley and salt and pepper.

Crock-Pot Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • Package of dry onion soup mix
  • Paprika
  • Lean beef stew meat
  • Medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • Cups baby carrots
  • Small onion, chopped
  • Cans cream of celery soup
  • 1 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. In a large plastic bag, combine the dry onion soup mix and paprika. Add in meat and shake the bag to coat meat with the seasonings. (You may have to do that step in two batches, for all the meat to fit). Once meat is coated, spread out evenly into a greased 7-quart Crock-Pot.
  2. Top meat evenly with diced potatoes, carrots, and onion.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortellini Soup

Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken breast
  • Medium carrots, peeled and diced
  • Stalks celery, diced
  • Medium onion, diced
  • Cloves garlic, minced
  • Cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • Cup water
  • Bay leaves
  • Italian seasoning
  • Cheese tortellini
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • Salt and pepper to taste 

Instructions

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a slow cooker except for the tortellini.
  2. Cook on low for 6 hours.
