Vintage Photos Prove Some Trends Never Die

Originally appearing in a 1975 issue of Family Circle, these photographs prove that tasteful interiors never go out of style.

Peak of Chic2 We are so glad Jennifer Boles recently received a stash of old magazines and shared one particular editorial spread on her blog the Peak of Chic. The photos, which were a part of a fashion spread shot in an unknown Chicago location, prove that some of the popular interior "trends" of today really aren't trends at all, but instead classic examples of stylish taste. Peak of Chic1 Antique french furniture frames, layered rugs, lacquered furniture, and mixed patterns are not only at home in this disco-era setting, but are signature elements of some of our favorite recent interiors. The photos prove that brass accents, leopard print, and (hopefully faux) fur are here to stay and we couldn't be happier. Peak of Chic3 To see more photos from this shoot, head to The Peak of Chic.
