Go Inside a Feminine, Luxe Bridal Salon
The newly designed showroom of San Francisco’s Weddington Way features a chic white-and-brass palette and modern styling. Designed by Alexis Robbins for Decorist, the space—which showcases stylish bridesmaid dresses for every style—was inspired by the elements that make up a dream closet. “A dream closet is about much more than the clothes; it's about the experience, the details, the feelings,” says Robbins. “I brought this to life through a simple but sophisticated neutral palette and combining lacquered white finishes, brass and Lucite elements, textures like the white Mongolian fur pillow and the white hide rug.” Keep scrolling to see the chic space in full.
"When we kicked off the design process, the Weddington Way team shared a single inspiration photo of a crisp, modern white retail space with a few pops of a single color,” Robbins tells us. “I cued off of the clean, modern aesthetic and simple palette in that image, but given that we were creating a space for brides and their bridesmaids to both gather and try on beautiful dresses, I wanted to infuse a luxe, feminine-but-not-fussy vibe.”
Though the space exudes luxury, the design was pulled together on a limited budget. “A big part of my role was figuring how to execute a luxe vision on a startup budget,” Robbins says. Sourcing lighting from Etsy and make smart styling decisions to purchase a few high-impact items helped keep costs down.
“If I had to boil the aesthetic down, I'd describe it as luxe modern,” the designer says.
