Take Note: West Elm Says This Is the Next Big Lighting Trend

Sophie Miura

We'll admit it: There's hardly a West Elm collection that we don't like, but the brand's latest collaboration has set the bar higher than ever before. Enter its new line with Bower, a New York City furniture and product design studio, which launched this week.

You might recognize Bower's signature curved lines and orb-like designs. The cool Brooklyn-based studio is well-known for its marble-and-wood cheese boards and mind-bending tinted glass furniture. Given its unique, modern take on product design, it's little wonder that the trio behind Bower has teamed up with West Elm to create the collection of your dreams.

The line might be small (10 items, to be precise), but it's clear that each piece has been carefully designed with expert precision. Lighting takes center stage, thanks to an orb-like ceiling pendant, floor lamp, sconce, and decorative table lamp, which suggests organic, curved lighting is a trend to watch this year.

Another key standout item is the Bower Lounge Chair, a contemporary circular seat that's available in a delicate light pink or bold, moody teal. Pair it with the matching ottoman for a reading nook you'll never want to leave.

Brace yourself—You're going to want everything in the West Elm x Bower collection.
