Beachy Hamptons homes are a dime a dozen—and don't get us wrong: We love a good coastal chic interior. But when we came across this Quogue home inspired by Belgium and the Netherlands, it felt like a gust of fresh air. Designed by interior designer Alexandra Loew as a gift from a husband to his wife, who has Dutch and Belgian roots, the space is filled with pieces from castles, barns, and Europe, as well as custom pieces made by skilled artisans, including stenciled Flemish-motif floorboards, beams, and rafters. Despite the Old World touches, the home, which is featured in the lastest issue of Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, maintains a contemporary undercurrent—a hard trick to pull off.
