Amy Poehler is essentially rounding up her girl gang and making a Netflix show about drinking wine, and we're here for it. As the Hollywood Reporter confirms, Poehler will star, produce, and make her feature directional debut in Wine Country. The film will follow Poehler, former SNL co-star Rachel Dratch (you may know her as Debbie Downer or Will Ferrell's hot tub lover), Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer, Paula Pell, Emily Spivey, and, of course, Tina Fey, as they trek to Napa for a 50th birthday party.
Considering that Poehler's directional repertoire includes episodes of Parks and Recreation and Broad City, it's safe to say this movie will be pure gold. What's more, the Wine Country script was written by Spivey, who also worked with Poehler on Parks and Rec as well as Saturday Night Live. While further details are sparse, we'll happily subsist on the hilarious announcement video below (posted by Netflix, who seems to share in our excitement) until we get an official premiere date.
