The best part about creating a gallery wall in your space? Shopping for all of the new prints and collecting a mix of pieces that reflect you and your aesthetic. That said, it’s no secret that artwork doesn’t always come cheap, and it can take quite awhile for the prints you order to arrive at your doorstep.
Enter one of our favorite solutions: purchasing downloadable artwork. There are so many pieces on the market that are budget-friendly and stylish. All you have to do is send files to your local print shop, and you’ll be able to start constructing that gallery wall in a matter of hours.
Brand new to the digital download world? I often upload the files I’ve purchased to the Fedex website, select my local store’s location, and have the files printed on either matte or glossy paper depending on the look I’m craving. All in all, this method runs just a few dollars per print.
Not sure where to search for eye-catching prints? We’ve rounded up a few of our digital print shops below, all of which are chock-full of on-trend options.
Juniper Print Shop
Juniper has been a favorite of ours for years, and the selection of prints offered continues to get better and better. Right now, we’re majorly loving this chic white abstract (pop it into a bold brass frame for some extra flair), this soothing portrayal of the California coastline, and this watercolor Paris piece that’s inspiring all the wanderlust.
BFF Print Shop
Whether you’re looking to celebrate natural, invoke old-world charm, or decorate a kid-friendly space, BFF Print Shop has a bit of everything. This feminine sketch would look beautiful framed in a bathroom, while a hand drawn moon phase print would fit perfectly within a boho bedroom.
Vintage Supply Co.
The traditionalist will swoon over Vintage Supply’s wide range of prints, which truly do look like antique pieces you may spot while thrift shopping. Those who love portrait art won’t be disappointed by the shop’s extensive collection of moody pieces, while landscape lovers will enjoy browsing the wide variety of beautiful nature scenes available on the site.
SJ Prints Design
Framed maps always add a personal touch to a gallery wall, whether you choose to celebrate your hometown, current city, or another space that’s meaningful to you or those with whom you live.
With an incredibly wide range of cities to choose from, you won’t struggle to locate the city of your choice with this Etsy shop, whether that’s Minneapolis or Liverpool. In fact, you could hang a gallery wall comprised entirely of maps if that floats your boat.
Based in Norway, this Etsy shop will help you recreate the Nordic, minimalistic look in your space, with abstract prints galore to choose from. If you need to fill a large wall in your home, why not choose a design you love and opt to have it printed on a canvas instead of traditional paper?
While the cost will run higher than your average print, this is an excellent way to customize your space, since it’s unlikely that someone else will have the same oversized piece in their home. Plus, black and white artwork is easy on the eye and won’t overwhelm a space, so it’s A-OK to go big.
It’s likely that many of your favorite photographers offer their own work for sale in digital format, so it’s always worth taking a look at their websites. A few of our faves include Allie Provost’s colorful travel and fashion photos, Jacqueline Clair’s stunning New York City scenes, and Laura Metzler’s pieces, which range from cityscapes to beautiful spaces in nature.
