Ashley Olsen grew up sharing a house with five other people, so it’s no wonder she’s looking for an upgrade. Okay, so maybe she didn’t really grow up in a full house, but her new digs certainly befit someone who is precious of their space.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Olsen has agreed to purchase a sprawling, 3,000-square-foot two-bedroom condo in Greenwich Village, one of Manhattan’s most coveted neighborhoods.
Listed at a robust $7.3 million, the condo is situated in a historic building that was erected in 1898, and was converted into an ultra-luxe dwelling when it was purchased by New York City real estate mogul Edward Minskoff.
Along with the two bedrooms, Olsen’s new pad also features two-and-a-half-bathrooms, enough marble to make The Met jealous, a private elevator, and sweeping views of both downtown and uptown Manhattan.
The Olsen's are that rare example of child stars that have avoided the pitfalls that derail so many of their counterparts. Choosing a relatively low profile life after their tween film careers faded, Ashley, along with her sister Mary-Kate, have become well-respected fashion impresarios thanks to the success of their couture label The Row.
