Raising children in the age of social media can be difficult to navigate, but according to Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, nothing is more valuable than privacy. It's no secret that Kutcher and Kunis have taken a private approach to raising a family. You'd be hard-pressed to find a single image of the couple's children on the internet. That's because the two refrain from posting photos of their little ones on social media out of respect for their children's privacy, Thrive Global reports.
"My wife and I have chosen a career where we're in the public light, but my kids have not," Kutcher said in an interview with Ariana Huffington for an episode of The Thrive Global Podcast. Out of a desire for their children to have a private life, the parents decided to only share photos and updates of their kids with family on a private social network, instead of posting images on their public social media channels.
Kutcher told Huffington that he and Kunis think their children should have the right to choose whether or not they are in the public eye. "It's their private life. It's not mine to give away," he said.
Despite their extraordinary careers, creating a normal environment for their children to grow up in is clearly a top priority for the couple. Kutcher said, "I'm Wyatt and Dimitri's dad. That's my number one gig. Everything else is secondary."
