This Dreamy, Light-Filled Brooklyn Townhouse Made Our Jaws Drop

Those familiar with Athena Calderone, an expert entertainer with a flair for interior design, would expect her own home to be nothing short of spectacular, and they'd be correct. The force behind the beautifully curated cooking, entertaining, and design blog EyeSwoon and her music producer and techno DJ husband, Victor, recently completed a three-year design project in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. leaving them with their very own "forever home," according to Architectural Digest.

No small feat, the Brooklyn townhouse is the eighth in a string of apartments and lofts inhabited by the couple since they met in the late '90s. Athena, Victor, and their 15-year-old son, Jivan, plan to stay in their new home indefinitely and with the amount of work the family has put into the space, we can see why.

They managed to keep the original mantels and the ornate medallion in the living room, though they certainly added their own personal touches throughout the townhouse, including speakers set into the ceilings, an open floor plan between the living and dining rooms created by knocking down a few partitions, and pink-veined white marble in the master bathroom.

Pieces like an Apparatus coffee table and a Mario Bellini sofa that dates back to the 1970s display a mix of old and new furniture throughout the home. However, the entertainer's kitchen just might be the most special place in the Brooklyn abode. It boasts Calacatta Paonazzo marble counters, gray cabinetry, and Parisian-style open shelving. Take a look inside the stunning home below.
