Kristen started out as an associate editor for Kraft What's Cooking and later Elle Beauty. She went on to work as a founding editor of the beauty website SugarShock Beauty and continued to write and edit for a variety of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle websites and publications, including Azure, House & Home, Inside Entertainment, and more. Eventually, she landed a Roger Communications where she was a beauty editor for Flare Magazine, Glow Magazine, and later became the editor-in-chief of Cosmetics Magazine and Made for Men. After this, she went on to become the editor-in-chief of S/ Magazine and Style Group. Now, she writes editorial and branded content for Toronto Star's The Kit.

Kristen received a BA in English and Art History from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University.
