Benjamin Moore's color of the year for 2018 proves that once again the fashion and interior design sets are drinking the same Kool-Aid. The color authority just declared Caliente AF-290 as the bold hue of the year to come, echoing a color trend seen on the New York Fashion Week runways as well as the streets.
"Caliente is the signature color of a modern architectural masterpiece; a lush carpet rolled out for a grand arrival; the assured backdrop for a book-lined library; a powerful first impression on a glossy front door," writes Ellen O'Neill, creative director of Benjamin Moore, of the bold hue. "The eye can't help but follow its bold strokes. Harness the vitality."
While we can't wait to add a pop of Caliente to our homes in the form of elevated lighting and bold accent chairs, the fashion set has been weaving the color into their wardrobes via bold heels, jackets, and tops.
