cabana stripe wallpaper
The Inside Removable Wallpaper in Navy Cabana Stripe $59 for a roll
Shop

"I've been wanting to experiment with wallpaper in my beach house for a few years, but the permanency of it makes me so nervous. I happen to love The Inside, so when I heard they were doing peel-and-stick versions, I had to try. This stripe pattern is perfect for a small bathroom I've been hoping to makeover."

andrew entryway hall tree
Pottery Barn Andrew Entryway Hall Tree $299
Shop

"When I moved into my apartment last year, I faced a super annoying problem: a very tight entryway. I was desperate for a piece that gave me coat-and-shoe storage space...bonus for a bench that my four-year-old could use (instead of the floor) to put on his shoes each morning. My search was unsuccessful, so to fill the space, I settled for a table that gave me none of the above. Recently, I was at a friend's house and saw this piece, which was perfectly sized and totally my style. I ordered it, assembled it myself (super easy, btw), and (a year later) officially love walking into my organized apartment."

baloo living weighted blanket
Baloo Living Eco-Friendly Weighted Blanket $169
Shop

"I never really thought about weighted blankets before Baloo landed on my desk, but I’ve been looking for new ways to stay cozy at night so I was eager to try it out. When I placed the blanket over me for the first time, I felt very calm—almost weirdly instantly calm. It was like this rush of peacefulness came over me as the weight held me in place. Of course, at 15 pounds it wasn’t restricting my movement, but it was enough to make me feel like I was really sinking into my bed. Instead of scrolling through my phone, I felt more like just relaxing and letting my mind unwind. When my alarm went off the next day I realized I had slept completely through the night, which is pretty rare for me. I’m happy to report in the following days the pattern continued, no matter if my partner or cat got up, I never woke up!"

ugg robe
UGG Blanche II Robe $98
Shop

"When this UGG Robe came into my life I was thrilled, but also had pretty high expectations. I know UGG shoes are bursting with comfy fur and fabrics, so I was hoping this robe would have the same idea. Spoiler alert: all of my expectations were met! The robe is so comfy and warm, but not in a way that I would be sweating if it's not below zero outside. It’s lightweight, so I don’t feel like I'm carrying extra pounds around, but it still gives me the feeling that I’m being hugged, tight. I'm excited to hop out of the shower and reach for it every morning."

Soil Sleuth Soil Probe
Greenery Unlimited Soil Sleuth Soil Probe $12
Shop

"I have nightmares about root rot every time I water a plant in a pot without drainage, so my mind was blown when I saw this tool at Greenery Unlimited in Greenpoint last weekend. It's less high-tech than some of the moisture meters out there—instead, this simple rod grabs soil samples from five layers of soil for your analysis, while simultaneously providing aeration. I would have bought it right then if I weren't about to head off on a brewery crawl. But this is officially on my Christmas list. "

schoolhouse electric luna rod pendant
Schoolhouse Electric Luna Rod Pendant with Opal Shade $329
Shop

"It's only taken me two years to get around to replacing the tacky halogen surface mounts in the entryway, hallway, and bathroom of my apartment, and the only reason I'm addressing the situation now is because one of them stopped working and I'm literally living in the dark. For the entryway and bathroom I'm going to stick with a surface mount, but in my central hallway I'm feeling a dropped version of the same fixture, just to add some depth and interest."

amai ceramics bowl
Amai Ceramics Bowl $38
Shop

"I went a little wild while shopping in Saigon last month. Feel like ceramics aren't the most logical thing to carry back to the States from Vietnam? You're right, but that didn't stop me. Amai's colorful, made-in-Vietnam kaolin designs have an organic Mud Australia feel at a fraction of the price, so I stocked up on some mini serving spoons, a condiment jar and a bunch of tiny bowls as souvenirs for my friends and family. And nothing broke on the way home!"

sun and moon print
ColorBlokc Sun and Moon Print $25
Shop

"I've been crushing on Kansas City-based artist, ColorBlokc, and their delicate prints for a while now, but couldn't decide which one I wanted in my own home. That all changed the second I laid eyes on this dreamy little piece of art. It's at once simple, minimal, and just the right amount of magic."

Bloomscape tough stuff collection
Bloomscape Tough Stuff Collection $65
Shop

"I am absolutely determined that this is the year I become a successful plant parent. Yes, my last foray into plant care ended tragically, but this set of plants that are described as "very easy, great for beginners," is giving me hope (and not only because Bloomscape will refund you if your plants die within 30 days). Each plant comes with its own detailed care card, so I know exactly how often to water them, and what type of light they prefer. Talk about easy!"

keya runner the citizenry
The Citizenry Keya Runner $375
Shop

"When The Citizenry came out with their India collection last year, I immediately became enamored with the Keya rug—so much so that I just had to Instagram it. The deep jewel tones and intricate pattern made the rug a scene stealer in all the best ways. The only problem was that I had nowhere to put a full size area rug. So, imagine my excitement when they launched a runner version of the Keya just last week. It's just what I need to add a little visual interest to my otherwise bare hallway."

throw blanket brooklinen
Brooklinen Throw Blanket $229
Shop

"I've actually had this bad boy for a while, but since it's started to cool down, and I'm spending more time inside, I recently rediscovered and it boy, am I happy about it. It's perfectly cozy and weighs just enough that it almost feels like one of those gravity blankets—I instantly feel calmer once I put crawl under this blanket."

bocce's bakery daily support dog treats
Bocce's Bakery Breath Biscuits $12
Shop

"Okay, these aren't technically for me, but they make cuddling with my puppy much more enjoyable—the Bocce Bakery Breath Mint Treats. My puppy Harri is adorable but has awful breath…lucky for me, she loves these, and I do too because they really help. She doesn't realize she's actually doing me a favor by eating these—win, win."

simple human voice trash can
simple human Sensor Can with Voice Control $250
Shop

"I can't speak highly enough about my Simple Human Voice Activated Trash Can—I know it may seem odd to have a voice-activated trash can, but honestly, I love it so much. It makes life so much easier when you have a dripping coffee filter you have to throw out quickly, it makes all the difference. I also love that this has space for recycling and garbage, because in my New York apartment I don't have room for two different cans."

Pehr x Chasing Paper Birds of a Feather Wallpaper
Pehr x Chasing Paper Removable Wallpaper $40 per roll
Shop

"I've been a fan of Chasing Paper for years. They make top-notch removable wallpaper, and their 'This Must Be The Place' art print is the first thing people see when they walk through my front door. They recently teamed up with Toronto-based children's décor brand Pehr for a new wallpaper collection, and I want all of it. Though Pehr is known for modern kid's décor, this release works just as well for adults. From the whimsical stripes to this super sweet 'Birds of a Feather' print, I'm daydreaming about all of the ways I can add some pattern to my rental with this collection."

Bella Rattan Wrapped Shelf
Anthropologie Bella Rattan Wrapped Shelf $168
Shop

"Organizing is hard. Organizing is even harder in a 400-square-foot apartment. That's why I'm always looking for ways to maximize my space. Anthropologie is my secret weapon when it comes to pretty organizers; they always have the most decorative wall hooks that combine design and organization beautifully. This stylish system even comes with a shelf on top to store extra trinkets like my growing candle or succulent collection."

Rabbit Freezable Whiskey Glasses
Rabbit Freezable Whiskey Glasses $30 for two
Shop

"I'm always trying to up my bar cart game, and these glasses might just be my next addition. Just pop them in the freezer for four hours, and then pour your cocktail of choice (or white wine, or bourbon, what-have-you) without worrying about ice diluting your mixture. And don't worry, the silicone sleeve keeps your hand from freezing as you sip."
